Our latest good news story is here Ashley gets hat trick: OFSTED grade it OUTSTANDING again Ofsted inspectors spent two days at The Ashley school on 10-11 March at the end of which the school was graded as Outstanding overall. The inspection was carried out as a pilot of new standards which will become national in September 2009. This is the third time Ashley has been graded Outstanding in as many years. Try the ASHLEY @ BETT09 button to be able to hear the recent talk we gave on thinking skills. We are a Special School with places for 127 pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties. Our catchment area covers Lowestoft, the Waveney Valley and the coastal areas of Suffolk on either side of the A12, as far east as Felixstowe, and as far west as Ipswich. In July 2007, we were awarded Specialist College status for "Cognition and Learning", following being graded as Outstanding by OFSTED in June 2006. Our current OFSTED reports for the school (2009) and the residential provision(2008) are available for download on this site.
Mrs Dupen, our Headteacher, would like to invite you to look around our website, send some feedback and visit us again in the future. |
